A top price for Jessie Makinson - as previously expected
In March this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Fluffy Whistle by Jessie Makinson. The price achieved of GBP 57,150.00 (€ 65,019.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Fluffy Whistle is the most expensive artwork by Jessie Makinson that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fluffy Whistle von Jessie Makinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 57.150,00 (€ 65.019,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Fluffy Whistle das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jessie Makinson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
