Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ladies Lunch for Givenchy, Carlyle Hotel, New York, 1999 by Jessica Craig-Martin was sold in the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction at Christies in New York in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,125.00 (€ 992.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jessica Craig-Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (i) Red Ball Plaza Hotel, New York, 2000, 2000 in January 2021 with an auction result of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,613.91).
