Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Evening Honouring Bill Blass, Waldorf Astoria, New York, 1999(ii) Planet Hollywood, Cannes, 1997(iii) Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Los Angeles, 1999 by Jessica Craig-Martin was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in Brussels in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,736.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jessica Craig-Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work (i) Red Ball Plaza Hotel, New York, 2000, 2000, which sold at auction in January 2021 for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,613.91).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.736,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden.
