It achieved a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 7,513.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jervis McEntee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).

Die Arbeit Under A Full Moon von Jervis McEntee wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 7.513,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jervis McEntee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gathering Firewood im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 130.500,00 (€ 124.463,52).
