Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction A Life's Devotion: The Collection of the Late Mrs T.S. Eliot, which included the work A Gentleman, In White Coat With Blue Trim, Blue Waistcoat And White Knotted Cravat, Powdered Hair En Queue by Jeremiah Meyer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,910.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeremiah Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Student In The Robes Of A Westminster Scholar in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 16,100.00 (€ 20,525.22).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion A Life's Devotion: The Collection of the Late Mrs T.S. Eliot durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Gentleman, In White Coat With Blue Trim, Blue Waistcoat And White Knotted Cravat, Powdered Hair En Queue von Jeremiah Meyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.910,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeremiah Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Student In The Robes Of A Westminster Scholar im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.100,00 (€ 20.525,22).
