Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orbit 6 by Jennifer Steinkamp was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,326.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jennifer Steinkamp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Judy Crook, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.326,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Judy Crook beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12) versteigert wurde.
