Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jennifer Steinkamp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2010. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Dance Hall Girl 5 sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,127.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jennifer Steinkamp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Judy Crook in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jennifer Steinkamp erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Dance Hall Girl 5 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.127,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Judy Crook im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12).
