This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in November 2018. In the Modern | Post War | Contemporary auction, the work Sunset. sold for EUR 45,150.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol erzielte im November 2018 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern | Post War | Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Sunset. für EUR 45.150,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
