Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (Blue) Echo Painting by Jeff Elrod was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,223.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeff Elrod have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (Blue) Echo Painting von Jeff Elrod kam im März 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.223,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
