Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work A Sunlit Port by Jean François Raffaëlli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,064.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean François Raffaëlli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Place De L'Opéra, Paris in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,266,109.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sunlit Port von Jean François Raffaëlli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 68.064,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean François Raffaëlli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Place De L'Opéra, Paris im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.266.109,24).
