Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Place de Saint-Germain des Prés, Paris by Jean François Raffaëlli was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021. The price achieved of EUR 15,120.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean François Raffaëlli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Place De L'Opéra, Paris in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,266,109.24).
