Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Unicorn Purifies The Water With His Horn (Eisler, Bersier 68) by Jean Duvet was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Sothebys in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 47,398.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jean Duvet have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2011 the work Saints Sebastian, Anthony, and Roch (B. 10; Bersier 48; Eisler 70) was auctioned for GBP 46,850.00 (€ 53,767.38).
