Auction result well in line with expectations
The work `Hommage Au Crayon' by Jean-Claude Farhi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,451.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Claude Farhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unique Dining Table in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,378.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit `Hommage Au Crayon' von Jean-Claude Farhi kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.451,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Claude Farhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unique Dining Table im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.378,68).
