Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Passage Du Guéattributed To by Jean-Baptiste Deshays was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 10,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Deshays - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,828.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Passage Du Guéattributed To von Jean-Baptiste Deshays kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 10.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Deshays mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.828,35) versteigert wurde.
