Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Baptiste Deshays could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Woman With A Lute changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,627.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Deshays have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,828.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Baptiste Deshays konnte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Woman With A Lute für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.627,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
