Auction result misses estimated price range

In July 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Noah Leading The Animals Into The Ark by Jean-Baptiste Deshays for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,632.48). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Deshays - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,828.35).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juli 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Noah Leading The Animals Into The Ark von Jean-Baptiste Deshays für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.632,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
