A top price for Jason Fox - as previously expected
In May 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Star Star by Jason Fox. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,217.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Star Star is the most expensive artwork by Jason Fox that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2011 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Star Star von Jason Fox zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.217,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Star Star das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jason Fox, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
