Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included the work Chain of Events by Jane Hammond. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,464.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jane Hammond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chain of Events von Jane Hammond zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.464,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jane Hammond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
