Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan van Couver could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction, the work On the Ourdorp, Holland changed hands for GBP 71.70 (€ 101.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Couver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch village on a canal in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,184.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan van Couver konnte im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book wechselte die Arbeit On the Ourdorp, Holland für GBP 71,70 (€ 101,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Couver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch village on a canal im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.184,61).
