Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Figure on a boat, with a windmill beyond by Jan van Couver. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 745.99). Admittedly, works by Jan van Couver have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch village on a canal in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,184.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure on a boat, with a windmill beyond von Jan van Couver zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 504,00 (€ 745,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan van Couver auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch village on a canal im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.184,61).
