Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barges on a Dutch canal by Jan van Couver was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 168.00 (€ 245.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 120.00 – 180.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Couver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch village on a canal in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,184.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Barges on a Dutch canal von Jan van Couver kam im August 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 168,00 (€ 245,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120,00 – 180,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Couver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch village on a canal im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.184,61).
