Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Through The Trees by James Ranalph Jackson for AUD 1,792.50 (€ 1,040.37). This price was achieved in the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS at Christies in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Ranalph Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).

Im August 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Through The Trees von James Ranalph Jackson für AUD 1.792,50 (€ 1.040,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Sydney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Ranalph Jackson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87).
