In April this year Bonhams held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon, which included the work (Motherhood) by James Ranalph Jackson. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 7,995.00 (€ 4,791.93), 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Ranalph Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon durch, in der auch die Arbeit (Motherhood) von James Ranalph Jackson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 7.995,00 (€ 4.791,93) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von James Ranalph Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87) versteigert wurde.
