This artwork by James Ranalph Jackson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. In the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction, the work Australian Mosman Bay sold for AUD 15,000.00 (€ 8,969.65) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Ranalph Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Ranalph Jackson erzielte im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works wurde die Arbeit Australian Mosman Bay für AUD 15.000,00 (€ 8.969,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von James Ranalph Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87) versteigert wurde.
