In August 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Afternoon near Bathurst, New South Wales by James Ranalph Jackson. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,346.00 (€ 2,039.08). Admittedly, works by James Ranalph Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).

Im August 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon near Bathurst, New South Wales von James Ranalph Jackson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.346,00 (€ 2.039,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Ranalph Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87).
