Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Old Cremorne by James Ranalph Jackson was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in November 2020. The price achieved of AUD 7,380.00 (€ 6,176.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Ranalph Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Old Cremorne von James Ranalph Jackson wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 7.380,00 (€ 6.176,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von James Ranalph Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Beach Scene, Narabeen North beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87) versteigert wurde.
