In November 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Sydney Harbour by James Ranalph Jackson. The price achieved of AUD 17,925.00 (€ 10,440.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00.
