Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Strange Fruit by James Nares for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,424.40). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Nares achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Take 118 - Blue Black in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 65,347.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Strange Fruit von James Nares für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.424,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Nares erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Take 118 - Blue Black im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 65.347,27).
