This artwork by James Brooks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2019. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work without title sold for USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,969.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Brooks; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot M-51 sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,592.16).
