Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Migrant by Jagannath Panda. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,103.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jagannath Panda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 133,000.00 (€ 84,150.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Migrant von Jagannath Panda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.103,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jagannath Panda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 133.000,00 (€ 84.150,59) versteigert wurde.
