Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Tree And Outsides by Jagannath Panda was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2012. The price achieved of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 40,180.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jagannath Panda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 133,000.00 (€ 84,150.59).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 40.180,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jagannath Panda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 133.000,00 (€ 84.150,59) versteigert wurde.
