Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Echoes Of Intensity by Jagannath Panda was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,179.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jagannath Panda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 133,000.00 (€ 84,150.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Echoes Of Intensity von Jagannath Panda im Juni 2013 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.179,48) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jagannath Panda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 133.000,00 (€ 84.150,59) versteigert wurde.
