Upper estimate price exceeded by 71 %.
The work The Rape Of Lucretia by Jacques-Louis David was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 85,059.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Louis David achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Ramel De Nogaret in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 7,209,000.00 (€ 4,630,652.62).
