Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Roman Village With A Temple And Tower At Left by Jacques-Louis David was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,771.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Louis David achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Ramel De Nogaret in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 7,209,000.00 (€ 4,630,652.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Roman Village With A Temple And Tower At Left von Jacques-Louis David wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert.
