Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Distribution Of The Eagle Standards by Jacques-Louis David was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,273,746.52). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques-Louis David - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Ramel De Nogaret, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 7,209,000.00 (€ 4,630,652.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Distribution Of The Eagle Standards von Jacques-Louis David wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.273.746,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques-Louis David mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Ramel De Nogaret beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 7.209.000,00 (€ 4.630.652,62) versteigert wurde.
