Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Jacob Kassay. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,129.32). Admittedly, works by Jacob Kassay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 232,985.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacob Kassay zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.129,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Kassay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 232.985,45).
