This work without title by Jacob Kassay was sold in the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,885.60), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Kassay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 232,985.45).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacob Kassay wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.885,60) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Kassay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 232.985,45).
