Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Fog Warning by Jack Lorimer Gray was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2013. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,092.57). Admittedly, works by Jack Lorimer Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Fog Warning von Jack Lorimer Gray wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.092,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
