In April 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Off Nova Scotia by Jack Lorimer Gray. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,530.64), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jack Lorimer Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).

Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Off Nova Scotia von Jack Lorimer Gray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.530,64) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
