Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work A Fishing Schooner Lying In A North American Harbour In The Snow by Jack Lorimer Gray. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,008.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Lorimer Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fishing Schooner Lying In A North American Harbour In The Snow von Jack Lorimer Gray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.008,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
