Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Heavy Net by Jack Lorimer Gray was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,086.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Lorimer Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Heavy Net von Jack Lorimer Gray wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.086,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
