Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sundial I by Ivor Abrahams was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 352.50 (€ 569.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivor Abrahams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Tableaux in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,748.77).
