Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Shipyard by Ivan Chuikov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 36,377.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ivan Chuikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fake in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 255,495.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Shipyard von Ivan Chuikov kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 36.377,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Chuikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fake im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 255.495,67).
