Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ivan Chuikov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2021. In the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction, the work Fragment, Postcard and Self Portrait sold for GBP 214,200.00 (€ 249,224.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ivan Chuikov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fake sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 255,495.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Chuikov erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online wurde die Arbeit Fragment, Postcard and Self Portrait für GBP 214.200,00 (€ 249.224,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ivan Chuikov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fake im Dezember 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 255.495,67).
