Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Point of View IV by Ivan Chuikov. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,301.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivan Chuikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fake in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 255,495.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Point of View IV von Ivan Chuikov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.301,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Chuikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fake im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 255.495,67).
