Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Evening By The Lake by Isaak Levitan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,959.78), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaak Levitan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Illumination of the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening By The Lake von Isaak Levitan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.959,78) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaak Levitan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Illumination of the Kremlin im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.500,00 (€ 2.224.310,97).
