Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study for 'Moonlit night' by Isaak Levitan was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 34,850.00 (€ 40,683.81), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaak Levitan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Illumination of the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study for 'Moonlit night' von Isaak Levitan wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 40.683,81) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaak Levitan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Illumination of the Kremlin im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.500,00 (€ 2.224.310,97).
