Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Overgrown Pond by Isaak Levitan. The price achieved of GBP 185,000.00 (€ 260,847.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaak Levitan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Illumination of the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Overgrown Pond von Isaak Levitan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 185.000,00 (€ 260.847,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaak Levitan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Illumination of the Kremlin im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.500,00 (€ 2.224.310,97).
