Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lakeside Landscape by Isaak Levitan was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,201.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaak Levitan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Illumination of the Kremlin in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,500.00 (€ 2,224,310.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lakeside Landscape von Isaak Levitan wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.201,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaak Levitan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Illumination of the Kremlin im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.500,00 (€ 2.224.310,97).
