The work Village Scene by Inji Efflatoun was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. It achieved a price of GBP 40,960.00 (€ 47,657.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Inji Efflatoun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,298.93).

Die Arbeit Village Scene von Inji Efflatoun wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 40.960,00 (€ 47.657,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Inji Efflatoun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.298,93).
